I heard when they scraped the side of the iceberg, it sounded to some, like running over some marbles.
Many people were unalarmed; playin late night cards and drinkin fine bourbon.
Heard some author wrote a book depicting the event about 40 years prior.
The similarities were uncanny.

How come no other ship was ever sunk by hitting an iceberg? They say the ice cut through 3 inches of steel plate and slushed the steel? You take an ice cube and try to cut a steel plate and see what happens. We use blow torches to cut through steel. Not ice cubes.
I think the ship was sabotaged by the Germans but because they didn't want to start a war they said the iceberg did it. Has anyone tried to sink a ship in a lab by rubbing it against ice to prove this theory?Comment -
