That's China letting the NBA know who's da Master.
That mining stuff ain't no joke. Serbia is probably now taking bids for that mine development, and Australian industry will feel the pain for a while. I hope they don't let China develop that, they already have a strangle hold on rare earth metals. The kind that wreck the environment to get at so you can make all of that environmentally friendly energy stuff. It seems like the Serbs are going to protest that all the way, so my bet is on Oh Canada to come in. That will be better, they are more environmentally friendly if only slightly than the Aussies when it comes to wrecking the environment. Make no mistake Lithium mines are nasty people.

So, Djokovic was the only player sent home for not having a shot? 1?guy out of the whole fukking Shiite pile?
At least he did not get boned as bad as that golf guy that had the tournament won.
The world is just fukked! Just zero chance of any preventative measures of any kind being accepted by the entire populace.

No
Several players are un vaxxed
He was denied first for some inconsistencies on his V I s a the Judge overruled and allowed him to play.
Then the Health Minister, who I guess has unilateral power, revoked his V I s a on the grounds his celebrity would ensight anti vaxx rhetoric and insubordination among Australian citizens, and a 3 judge immigration panel agreed to the deportation.
Novak could not appeal because the POS health Minister scheduled the hearing hours before rd1 play, on purpose of course.
It was a complete incompetent lunatic decision to double down on a stupid policy, enacted by a stupid leader, voted into power by a stupid constituency.
Liberals never admit they're wrong. Just watch a Biden presser or Jen Psaki daily.
Even the media is rolling their eyes at the hypocrisy & inconsistencies in messages regarding Covid.

I wonder what Lebron James and the NBA and it's players think of this? NBA is in bed with China.

It is not surprising that this happened as it's been coming for a while. It seemed like they were more far off being ready to mine then we thought (closer to 2027). They weren't really even close to being ready to mine from my understanding.
The damaging long term effects to the habitats and soil around the areas that are being mined for lithium have already been seen in places like Chile and Argentina which have been been mined since the 1980s. Which comes as no surprise that local residents and Djokovic were opposed and blocked it.
Whether Australia didn't allow him in because of politics (likely), and to make an example out of him (likely) despite allowing Rublev in who knowingly had Covid-19 as well as Border Force officials which knew this, and other players who were unvaccinated and had the same exemption and were allowed in without issue is probably a far worse look for Australia then the initial lost appeal by Djokovic's lawyers.

Before he arrived in Australia, up to and possibly more then five players were allowed into the country, without issue, unvaccinated and with the same exemption Djokovic had. When they cancelled his **** they rounded up all the others (most if not all) with the same exemption, cancelled their visas and sent them home without explanation.
They also allowed Rublev into the country who knowingly had Covid-19, and who Border Force also knew he had Covid 19 without any issues or dramas.
Even some Australian Doctors (such as Dr Nick Coatsworth) who has been vocal and supportive about getting everyone vaccinated has said that his natural immunity was likely better.
Politics?

LOL, well that threat lasted about a week before the Serbian president has backed down and is now groveling to the Aussie PM that if he guarantees Novax can play the AO next year, they will remove the ban on an Australian company pouring investment money into his country.
The trouble now is that Australia still isn't corrupt and still follows the same rules for all and won't guarantee anything.
Ball in your court Serbia...
-500 the inevitable humiliatingly complete backdown comes soon.
