Laundries parents found these remains, or gave info to the fbi where to possibly find their sons remains? Wtf???

What am I missing

After all this time, all the searching, the fam pulls a random location out of a hat and there just happens to be human remains there?

Sounds like they knew where he had a camping spot, however it was under water for so long due to seasonal showers

Also appears remains are not in tact, so gator got him....which is kinda fitting.

Not a random location. I read somewhere that the parents directed the FBI to this location early on, but they didn't find his remains (if it his him) because they were under water at the time.
