I agree. And the progress in the wrong direction has been rapid for the past 20 years or so. The young people in their early 20's have never even seen anything else but this mental illness that they call progress.

When I was 22 I was in the third year of my IT career.
I was then a lead computer operator for Macy's at the time.
The CIO was an extremely astute but elderly IT and business guru, a man by the name of Morton Weitz.
Jewish professionals ran the retail and banking world back then and still do.

"Morty" pulls me aside for a chat one day and I'll never forget the words.
He says to me "Bill, I've taken a genuine liking toward you, don't ever be afraid of change, change is good"

Back then the IT world (software/hardware etc) was evolving and changing at warp speed and he wanted me to go to tech classes to get up to speed with all the new technology.

With inflation happening no where probably.

I just filled up my Lexus with premium at a local Chevron station at $5.00 a gallon. $75 bucks to fill it up. This is in California though where gas prices are the highest in the Nation.
