It's higher than that but the mortality rate from covid will keep going down even for unvaccinated people because new treatments like the new Pfizer pill will keep coming out too.

No healthy kid should be required to be vaccinated from covid.

I said infection fatality rate, not case fatality rate. You need solid seroprevalence studies to determine IFR, which you won't get done in the USA because it makes the virus less scary. Plus in the USA, since we are all equal, people don't like to distinguish between kids with comorbidities and healthy kids. I am basing my statement on a recent German pre-print. Either way, the IFR for kids as a whole is much much less than .2% and even more so for healthy kids.

Kids are not required to get vaccines for everything, you are wrong. Kids are not required to be vaccinated against the flu kills kids in higher numbers than covid. Mandates on people attending government facilities is different too.
