Watching Magnolia right now with Cruise, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Reilly guy from Stepbrothers, etc. Overrated movie somewhat, but goddamn Tom Cruise tore up that scene where he's at his fathers deathbed! Any movie with acting that good can't be overrated


Most Overrated to me:

There Will Be Blood

That is the most boring and pointless fu k in g movie that I've ever seen. Just unwatchable shit. Horrible! Then after all that bs it ends with a guy getting beat to death with a bowling pin on a bowling lane inside a mansion? Who comes up with this stupid shit? Daniel Day Lewis is great, but that movie was horseshit!

Directed by same dude from Magnolia. I didn't know that. I guess if you can have frogs raining all over LA then why not beat a retard to death with a bowling pin. He reminds me of Terrance Mann. The guy that directed The Thin Red Line. Great camera work and meaningful dialogue, but all over the place at the same time

Probably Johnny Depps best work and my fav of Pacino's roles. Pacino dumped his loud ass arrogant winner at the game of life personna and got inside of a low level Mafia murderer and yet made him sympathetic as hell. The guy killed like 25 people in real life, but you sympathize with the dude when Pacino gets done with him. Thats the real life mob life too. If it was all glamorous with mansions then everyone would be doing it

That scene with the worlds last working Tiger tank was cool, but even that ended up stupid. German Tiger tanks had a tremendous range advantage on Allied and Russian tanks so why come charging out of cover into a short range fight while outnumbered? Stupid. Then the end. A whole goddamn German company is dumb enough to get wiped out by a disabled tank? That movie sucked

naturally these are opinions. imo very underrated the original Bonnie and Clyde. garnered a ton of Oscar nominations but won only two minor. funny, well written, well acted and exciting. when I was a kid a young kid I watched this move in the movie house. this was a time before the audience was treated to up close and in you face violence/blood. it was a complete shock when they showed a man being shot in the face right in your face and up close. today that is nothing back then it was shocking.

Have you seen Little Big Man? Somebody mentioned The Graduate and that one has Dustin Hoffman and Faye Dunaway. Faye Dunaway is a whore in this one and hot as hell!!!
