Bars shut down so I drank with friends at the beach. No treadmills so I biked a shit ton more. I wore/wear a mask inside and near crowds and dont mind it at all.


So what you do is up to you. But if you worked with me for one week I promise you'd be more aware of the real danger to healthy people and prolly do more than you are now to prevent yourself from getting it

Absolutely, I hear your point and its valid. Im not a fan of lockdowns and hope we never go back through another one. I feel bad for those owners, especially here in Cali where lockdowns were prolonged and businesses suffered disproportionately.

But Newsom made decisions that were guided by health experts, hospital administrators that were keeping him up to date on ICU bed availability, inf disease docs, epidemiolgists, etc...

Part of living in a society is give and take, its always a compromise and rarely if ever perfect harmony. And the last year unfortunately the decision was made to shut down businesses that were seen as vectors for high transmission rates. Thats part of the social contract.

However we're now 100% open and businesses are thriving. Even gyms, apparently every day looks like Jan 2nd with all the "resolutioners"

Now the vaccine is available it is pretty safe to live your life whilst fully vaccinated.
The vaccine is now available to anyone in the uk aged 16+, and they have moved away from the 8 week wait between vaccines back down to 4.
98.9 % of hospitalizations are now for people that have not had both shots, and 99.2% of all deaths are those that are not fully vaccinated, at this point, unless you are immuno-compromised, there is little need to hide away from "life" if you have had both shots. They are readily available in the UK and the USA, so its time to move on .. open up and get back to normal.
If you don't want a shot, don't get one, at this point i'm fine with that.
