The plan is to give Memorial Day the axe and put George Floyd Day in its place. It will still be observed last Monday of May so day off wise will be the same. It's just a name change really.

It's the real deal and for all practical purposes, nothing really changes. The only caveat is that there is a proposal on the table that if you identify as POC and/or LGBTQ, you get Tuesday off too.
