why in the heck is the mail so slow

i went online and renewed my car plates back in april, now it 5.19 and nothing, i tried calling by phone and after about a hr holding on i said the heck with it.is the mail slow in your areas guys too.

Can't imagine why the USPS hemmorhages money... they blow.

I was getting late payment fees and things like that, mail was taking 3-4 week to get there for a simple envelope.

It's ridiculous and I'm still not sure why.

horrible. takes us 2 weeks now to get certain checks from customers that are on long island. we are in queens. should be 3 days tops.

they increase postal rates and lower the level of service. we have to pay for their pensions and lifetime health care.

OK, I'm pretty cool with that but why is it UI (the electric company here) changes a 4.95 surcharge on top of what my electric bill is if I pay it over the telephone.

If the bill is 100 dollars and the utilities want 5 percent on top of that for a phone payment then why shouldn't I write a check, slap a stamp on it and pay it via snail mail saving the surcharge.

If the government wants me to go green give me an incentive.
A 5 percent surcharge to go paperless to pay my bill is hardly an incentive.

Our utilities charge an online fee too,
The water company charges 3.00 for every 100 dollars paid online.
Trust me, if I had a zero fee online pay option I'd be on it like Thomorino on a bad betting line.

Chase (my mortgage holder) is the only payment fee free bill I have a month.

You are probably getting a new plate. If your tag was applied for prior to May 1, and have had your current tag more than 5 years old, you will be receiving a new plate, more than likely causing the delay. The state of NC stopped issuing new plates after May 1 due to a shortage of raw materials. My tag is due June 15, I got my inspection and had my tag in less than 10 days.

Be patient, the delay is with NCDMV and not with the USPS
