La Russa did not know extra inning rule
Chicago White Sox manager Tony La Russa says he didn't fully know the extra-inning rule, which would have allowed him to avoid using closer Liam Hendriks as a baserunner against the Cincinnati Reds on Wednesday.

LaRussa is obviously losing it. He's what 78?

He's 76. There might be some people that age that could handle a ton of responsibility every day, but I'm guessing 10-15% at best. My Dad is 78 and he sure as hell couldn't think on his feet and remember 100x things daily that a MLB manager needs to know.

I saw it the other night vs Detroit. Everyone could see Giolito was melting down, but LaRussa left him in to blow the game at 114 pitches or whatever. Nobody does that anymore.
