That's correct, the original founders of this ready pancake mix made the logo from a blacked face character off a minstrel show, sold it to a milling company then Quaker Oats, then they found a black lady with her likeness and promoted her at the fairs. From that point on, the company went all in on a full slave plantation ad campaign for the next century.
