By no means do I want to do away with laws or law enforcement, but when LEOs break the law or violate someone's constitutional rights (which they swore an oath to protect) they need to be held accountable, charged and punished just as any regular citizen would be. I'm 58 years old today. I've had numerous encounters with cops. I've been in jail in four different states, five if you call it a drunken state. Never once have I been shot or beaten by them.

Nothing worse then a dirty cop but it's a percentage that is very low in the big picture. 1 out of 100 cops are probably dirty if I had to guess.. Maybe 1 out of 500 even. People are human and there are always gonna be bad seeds every where you look in this world. Cops aren't immune to that and aren't always gonna be angelical Saints.

They deal with the dirt of society on a daily basis. That ways on your mind. It's a crap job that pays little.

I appreciate clean nice cops though.. They have a job to do and it's not personal even if you are a crook or thug being arrested.

Obey the laws and be friendly to law enforcement and chances are you won't get beat down or be mistreated it's just that simple.

I agree with you 100% here, Jibbby. There are a few exceptions. The one that comes to mind first is disabled people/vets, but people who are fully capable of working and supporting themselves should not just be given free handouts.

The title included military, which is the second largest government program in America. The largest is social security. Vast majority of the lazy people who are dependent on that paid into it for decades, which is why the net cost of social security is only about 15% of the cost of defense.

Private law enforcement is generally far worse than government funded law enforcement.
