I recently got into them - can't believe I didn't discover them sooner.

Just great blues/rock and they've been doing it for a long time.

Their new album "Let's Rock" is great, but if you ask me The Rubber Factory is best followed by Brothers.

Pretty crazy dudes too, humor wise, hilarious.

Here's a great live version of a great track:

And a very enjoyable video of another great track:

    These guys get it.

On my list with KOL, Cage the Elephant and Highly Suspect as bands to see live asap.

Oh wow that would've been cool, right after Sea Change - great album. I saw Beck a couple of times back then and he was great.

He's touring with Cage these days but tbh I haven't been feeling his stuff much since Mutations. It all gets great reviews and even grammies but just not feeling it.

Much love for One Foot, Steopathic, Mutations, etc. though.

I've only heard a few of their radio hits like Lonely Boy and Gold on the Ceiling but I dug them, especially Lonely Boy. What would you recommend as the best entry point? Or even just another song I'd like?

              Good question.

It really depends what genre of music you dig the most. I've always loved blues, so the albums The Rubber Factory and The Big Come Up really click with me. If you like Indie (I like that as well) El Camino and Brothers are a good place to get started as well.

Here's another hit you may or may not have heard:

And another, this video is hilarious - Auerback so convincing as a preacher, lol

A very cool slower song - very Pink Floydish but yet truly original -

and as a blues man I love this opener to The Rubber Factory

Yeah, I would say I'm not naturally a big blues person but can still get into bluesy stuff for sure. Definitely have more of an indie rock taste usually

Thanks man, I'll check it out!

                    From Wikipedia:

According to an interview on NPR's Fresh Air, the group's name "the Black Keys" came from an acquaintance diagnosed with schizophrenia, Alfred McMoore. He would leave incoherent messages on their answering machines referring to their fathers as "black keys" such as "D flat" when he was upset with them.

They are good. Hadn’t heard Of them before.

I clicked thinking you somehow got Alicia Keys and the Black Eyed Peas mixed up.

Love their sound. One of my pothead buddies played a song of theirs for me like eight years ago. He said they were gonna be the bees knees someday. Cant say he was wrong.

The bees knees is a good way to put it.

Funny dudes too, I had to take down a video I had posted above - it IS an official video for a song of theirs - but it had more than one exposed female nipple showing in it (I hadn't watched it prior to posting) and I didn't want to get in any trouble here.

That's pretty funny to have in an official video for a band
