In relationships and friendships women are meaner. For acquaintances men are less friendly.

Women get their way in relationships by being mean to man so he does more and spends more on her to try to please her. They are nicer to people they don’t know as well because they care more about their self image. Until they know you they will be nice in case they can benefit from you or in case being mean to you may hurt their self image with someone they can benefit from

Women’s default is mean. They are meaner to their boyfriends also because they can get away with it. Public image favors females in relationships. They can frame you as a jerk and anything you say about her just makes you look like an ass. Relationships with men allow their real colors to fly.
