Deposit Bonuses are for broke clowns.. You take the fat bonus's with the books and it always makes it a little harder to cash out when you win as they start to give you the run around down the road.
I like to pass up on all bonus's with the books when I make a deposit and re-up..
I'll take the 5dimes contest bonus's and other contest play with the other books and that's it.. When you pass on the bonuses during re-ups it makes the cash outs usually go smoother and with out a hitch later on down the road.. I like it that way..

I did two different stints in said infantry. Sure, there is a reason there is such a nice bonus for that particular job--it is the toughest job in the regular army (i.e. they are the ones doing the actual fighting) and thus it's a little tougher to recruit for that job. Nowadays I get some nice benefits including free, high-quality lifetime healthcare which now that I am on the doorstep of 50 I take advantage of a little more often. Every time we have open-enrollment at work and my co-workers tell me the numbers of their health insurance, I remember how fortunate I am. There is also another advantage of being an infantry veteran, which isn't tangible and has nothing to do with money. It is the sense of pride I carry inside knowing that I did things that a great many people simply couldn't and also the sense of comraderie was incredible. To give a sports analogy-- when we see a longtime athlete retire, and he is giving his press conference, the answer he gives when the reporters ask "What will you miss?" they never say 'money or fame'; they say they will miss their teammates and the locker room. I know 100% what they are feeling. If you haven't been involved is something that not just anybody can do, I'll never be able to describe what I am talking about, but it's a great feeling that not everyone will be able to enjoy.Comment
