The people who are getting popcorn lung are the weed vapers. The manufacturers are using emulsifiers that are not supposed to be inhaled.

I've been trying to do some research here. We knew years ago they were putting things like glycerol in there, which was questionable when heated, but what else is being put in?
Because of what was learned years ago, I have been extremely selective with what I get. I know I don't have these issues with additives, but I'd like to see who does.
Any info is helpful because right now it seems the tobacco e vape that's causing the most uproar.

Popcorn lung is a (supposed) result of vaping liquids with diacetyl. It's an additive that has not been used in the legal nicotine vaping industry in the US for around a decade. Diacetyl has an intense buttery flavor and was previously used in microwave popcorn and the popcorn at movie theaters, thus the name popcorn lung. The additive has since been removed from these products.
The current lung problems in the news are not related to diacetyl and popcorn lung, but are caused by vaping black market THC liquid and cartridges that use tocopherol-acetate (aka vitamin E acetate) as a diluting agent that is usually used to make skin creams, but is not safe to inhale. Vitamin E acetate can be formed when vitamin E and acidic acid are present in a formula with a pH below 4.8. Legitimate nicotine and THC vaping liquids/cartridges do not contain vitamin E acetate and nicotine vaping liquids do not have pH values lower than 4.8.Comment -

That's what I thought.
Companies are putting some bullshit into cartridges, but it's not causing this.
Black market ones on the other hand are looking to be a different story.
I have been acquiring the ingredients and oils individually in syringes, this includes specific terpenes.
I aim to create my own targeted medicine and inject it into my own customized vape cartridge. Open flame is too hot and destroys some of the compounds.

I know that I poiseted this before. 2 years ago, my best friend (who vaped hard for 10 years prior) got a cancer spot on his lung that led to a brain tumor on the left side of his head. He had the brain tumor and part of his lung removed. He was just at the hospital in Pittsburgh yesterday and they found another tiny spot on his brain behind his right eye. I don't think that he is ever going to fully recover from this.Comment -
