The Shield was great, it wasn't appointment TV for me but I've seen a lot of episodes.
Terrific cop drama.

Kojak was too, and the old Jack Lord Hawaii 5-0 series.
Hawaii 5-0 was the one that got me hooked when I was like a kid in the 70's.
