I use my blinker when necessary (I need to indicate to someone what I'm doing as it may have an impact on them). I don't use my blinker when nobody else is around, and I don't use my blinker when I intentionally do not want someone to know what I'm about to do. Like when I'm trying to merge over sneaky-like.
