A lucky Washington native hit the jackpot at the Strat Hotel, Casino and SkyPod on the North Strip in Las Vegas, winning a nearly $2 million slot jackpot on Friday, June 7.
The winner, who chose not to reveal his identity, won his $1.8 million fortune during a session of Buffalo Grand, a slot machine designed by Aristocrat Technologies, Inc.
The game is part of Aristocrat’s long-running Buffalo theme and was designed by Studio 54’s Ted Hase, one of the developers of the original Microsoft Xbox.
The Strat complex has been rebranded since its 2017 acquisition by gaming operator Golden Entertainment, Inc. The hotel offers nearly 2500 guest rooms, including the fully remodeled Elevate series, and an 80,000-square-foot casino.
