Police station was like 2 minutes walk away from shooting scene, still 11 dead it to many innocent people losing there lives.

The saddest thing is... with every mass shooting we become just slightly more desensitized to them. Right now it's hard for me to imagine a time when we will have less mass shootings. It seems like it's only going to get worse. If anyone has any hopeful or optimistic words I would love to hear it.

Not sure of all of the numbers, but you are 8 times more likely to be killed by a police officer than by a terrorist.

Guns are part of the American identity for better or for worse. Mass murder gun attacks were not a thing 30 years ago. Humanity has become its worst self in recent times. Getting rid of guns may save lives but it won't save sanity or the species.

Something has to be done. So many things are considered privelages in our society, yet semi automatic war guns are a "right".

I remember several years ago some army guy in a Texas military base killed a bunch of other soldiers with a pistol. So if someone can do this in an army base where everyone is armed to their teeth then having a bunch of citizens carrying weapons wherever they go is not going to stop these shootings. And banning guns will not stop them either. The solution is not as many weapons as possible or no weapons at all.
