How do you find a good artist for a tattoo?

Have a few tattoos already but guy who did them has moved out of state. Looking to get a half sleeve done, have an idea of the design and sample pics from online but a few questions:

1) How do you pick the artist who can draw your design well?
2) If they draw your design and it sucks, do you have to pay their time?
3) Any other advice?

i used to draw tribals for lifestyle babes after they saw the "ass hat" bad ass lower back tat i came up with for my babe at the time; $200 a piece....

sold about 15 of them, could always tell my unique artwork above a chick's ass by a signature piece that was common to all of them (the "point" that traveled down into their crack)'''.... I'll post a photo of a few of them I came up with.....

while I never did the actual tatting, I take comfort and pride knowing that 15-20 fine ass babes in the greater houston area are "tramp stamped" with my lower back tribal wizardry..........

If you look closely, you can still see the names of the babes in the upper right corner of some, and the prices they could have paid before revisions, etc.....



that diamond point was always a must in any of em, whether elongated, slimmed, or whatever, that way no matter how high that ass was jacked up at a lifestyle party, I could always look to see if she was one of my phillies runnin' wild.......

Tattoos are the most stupid thing to do to your body.

In my town, there are beggars at a lot of highway intersections. They have a sign begging for money. They all have tatts. I bet they wish they had used their tatt money for food or rent.

Females with tatts = skank.
Males with tatts = insecure.

funny thing is he like 35 and got the tatoo when he was about 22

b/c it’s on his back he forgets that it is there

The two tats I currently have are very meaningful to me. One of them is a heart beat line across my chest with a wolve running above it, as I have almost died twice. This one I am getting next is symbolic to my love for traveling. If you google "compass map tattoo" you'll see the kind of design I'm looking at but I've slightly modified what I want. It will be an upper half sleeve, not full sleeve for professional purposes. Will want Europe and America drawn with compass over the Atlantic most likely but undecided.

I have ADHD so my tattoo desires change over time but when a design has stuck with me for at least a year, that's when I know its one I want. Also looking at getting another motorcycle soon but not sure. Would not be an expensive bike, just a 300-650 CC one. Likely will commit to both once new job is obtained but having made $8k this past month in sports, either purchase would not be out of question at the moment.
