I rarely drive anymore after they cut the rates. Was doing in part time on weekend nights making roughly $25 an hour or slightly more. If you drive during surge periods, Uber pays more. For everyday regular rates, Lyft has slightly better advantages (full cancel fee, paid for your waiting time). Usually use Uber though in DC as driver market is not saturated like most cities.

Out of 300-400 rides, had three chicks ask for my number, several more wishing I had asked them (for professionalism I never asked for #). Went out and hooked up with 2 of them. Just the other day hooked up with one of them again. She’s kinky af and a bit crazy, she’s into that suspended rope stuff called Shibari. I’m kinky but not THAT kinky.

Let me rephrase, never asked directly for number during ride, creating a possible uncomfortable situation for them.

Uber/Lyft very quick to shut drivers down. One complaint and you’re on leave for at least a week usually 30 days. When I was driving in the fall was driving most weekends so definitely cared about my ability to use the app.

Yeah this most recent time only drove cause they offered a 75 ride promotion. Did not give a care if kicked off the app this time as it was my first time driving in 2 or 3 months.

Roughly half of drivers don’t do Uber for a living. I did it to pay down student debt / make money for traveling. Combined between my entry level analyst job and Uber, I was making a monthly amount that equaled almost 100k if extrapolated to an annual income.

I did for awhile. Decent way to meet women if it’s not your full time job, you have a nice car, and you have a decent full time to back it up . If they think it’s possible they could sleep with you they will inevitably ask why you do Uber or Lyft. My answer was a truthful one but that I just moved to a new city and it was a good way to learn the area on the weekends and learn the hot spots to go. I also enjoyed it and was a way for me to have a little fun on the weekends without being hung over the next day. I would get propositioned a lot to come inside by Drunk women. I never took them up on it not looking for a girl to regret cheating on her bf and get wrapped up in some drama or metoo thing . But if someone asked me to meet up on off hours and we chatted a bit when they were sober and interest was still there I was down for that and did it a couple of times. It’s a fun job if you have the right attitude and not your sole source of income. Just do it when you feel like it. You’ll make friends and meet women for sure if you’re not ugly and broke.

Good point but you have to call your insurance company and get a special kind of insurance. Mine raised my insurance like $10 a month.

Also if you have a rider in your car you are covered by Uber insurance. The only time you wouldn’t be covered is driving to pick someone up or driving around looking for a ride.

You’re still covered for everyday driving it doesn’t negate that. It does void warranties and stuff though.
