Battled colon cancer since March 2017 and kidneys failed. His body was suffering and worn out. May he RIP. I am 53 healthy so far.
My advice get your coloncosopy test starting at age 50 or sooner! He was a fool never thought it would happen to him. Never had the tests done and he was married to a wonderful lady and 1 son who is 20.

I feel your pain man. When my stepmom passed away at age 38 from a random blood clot just out of the blue while walking around it made me super depressed and i still can't believe it. At least it was peacefully.

One of my oldest and best friends was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer out of the blue a month ago. She is the sweetest, prettiest, and all around best person I know. She is only 28 and just got married a year ago. Looking up the stats on this diagnosis was depressing as hell. Only 15% live 5 years and not many at all beat it. Praying for her to be one if the exceptions. Sorry about your Brother. RIP

He could still be here. If he would have got the test done starting at age 50. By the time he was diagnosed. It was to late. So yes he was a fool. Thanks konck.

Sucks he lasted 2 years and 1 month. Thanks for kind words. Hope your friend pulls through. Have her drink a glass of lemon water with baking soda twice a day. It should do wonders. Look it up.

                                Sorry about your brother.

I have been having some bleeding and am worried. I have an appointment at a gastro in 30 days. Fear is always the worst. I'm glad I saw this post and you may be helping others by your post by spreading awareness.

Also, I do not mean to offend you or anyone on this thread but I am very grateful to have a relationship with a higher power which I choose to call God. Some are more comfortable with the term higher power and some do not believe in anything or refuse to and that's okay too. People have to be right where they are in life. You never know what you may say to someone that will stick with them or make a difference down the road.

I myself cannot subscribe to the belief that this world is a vale of tears though it once was for me. I found God via pain. I had to become an empty shell of a human being before I could ever feel or notice a higher power starting to work in my life.

In the past I had never been a conservative religious person but I really enjoy hearing a good message and would love to hear what many of you think about this guys message

I'm very sorry to hear this sunshine. But thank you for reminding me to push my partner to book in a colonoscopy. It's one of those things that is so easily put aside for another day but it's so important to get done. Same as a mammogram for any women in your lives for those on here.

i think dad od'd on fentanyl, to be topical and looking back

either that or not taking his insulin

either way, it was inevitable and way too young...people actually liked him, nice guy

Wow how sad. Same thing happened to me of July 2013. All of a sudden my left leg swelled up like a balloon and it was the worst pain of my life. I called 911 and told them to please hurry. Luckily 6 years later I'm still here. I'm 53 now.

My Dad died from colon cancer as well. Now I get colonoscopies every 3-5 years, not a big deal. Night before isn't too much fun but the day of the procedure is a piece of cake. All should get them - the bonus is that if there is an issue, they can take care of it right away!
