Nirvana was great band. But i think they are a little overrated. I will share my story of when i heard he died.
We had a half day from school for whatever reason, and me and four buddies were having an all day one on one basketball tournament while listening to the classic rock station. When the anouncement came over the radio, my buddy started crying. I busted out laughing that he was crying like a close family member had passed. I feel a little bad for being a D!ck but I guess I will always remeber where I was when I heard the news.

Nirvana experience. Seattle Grunge.. What I remember back then -

It was a different time and a new sound in the main stream music scene.. Nirvana hit the MTV videos and blew up. It wasn't rock sounding really, not heavy metal either.. Somewhere in between. Just a slow beat and rhythm type rock sound with a rock sounding voice singer.. I liked it..

Before my music time were The Doors also that blasted on the music scene with a new sound also.. Their slow blues and rock beat sound with the organ play was revolutionary and original in sense I think..

Doors and Nirvana both were new sounds that hit the charts and both lead singers died early in life and on drugs..

Elvis stretched into his 40's and on drugs, Michael Jackson and Prince to their 50's and on drugs too..

It makes you step back and go hmmmm? Do ya really wanna be a famous? Becareful for what you wish for...

I think it's the fame and riches that leads to isolation and drug abuse that eventually kills them all.. They get high grade drugs too, the best. That's not a good thing, you get addicted on the good stuff.. Become lonely, but you're famous, rich and addicted and on top. Not good for some people, especially the young people!!!!!

Better have your feet on solid ground morally to give that a try IMO.. Tough life in my opinion.. You do get your name in the record books though.. Something to be said about that!!!

*Heroin overdose of over 3 times the lethal dose, instant nodding expected due to it.
*Courtney making up stories for the press, victimizing herself and pushing the notion he was suicidal.
*The overdose in Rome was not a suicide attempt, it was a murder attempt by Courtney that didn't work.
*Rosemary Carrol, their lawyer, states Kurt was divorcing and leaving Courtney and Nirvana, requested a change in his will.
*Rosemary also found some "test sheets" on Courtney's backpack where she was trying to mimic Kurt's handwriting.
*The suicide letter itself is only made out to be one by the last added paragraph in which the writing mimics the test sheets found.
*Eldon Hoke, was offered $30,000 by Courtney to kill Kurt, he didn't pull through, a week after this statement, he dies ran over by a train.
*Courtney maintained a friendship and SEXUAL INTERCOURSE with not only the coroner but also the Seattle PD detective in charge.
*Cali DeWitt, Frances nanny was supposed to be in the house when Kurt died, yet he never bumped into him. He receives $ from Courtney.
*Kristin Pfaff, Hole's bassist. dies of an overdose after leaving the band and 1 day before moving back home. No one leaves Courtney.

Thats just of the top of my head, I could list 30 items.

I didn't know about most of that. I just had a gut feeling mostly. When she read his suicide note it just seemed phony to me and I felt like she had something to hide. After reading your post it looks totally undeniable. How come she was never charged?

Some reports say Cobain insisted any censorship be accompanied by the following message: “If you’re offended by this, you must be a closet pedophile.”

This was his reply when David Geffen (CEO of GEFFEN records, who is a rumored rapist pedophile and human trafficker) wanted to boycott Kurt's chosen picture for the Nevermind cover. Geffen was involved in the murder of Michael Jackson and Chris Cornell as well. It is well known Geffen is one of the heads of the so-called Velvet or "Gay" mafia that runs Hollywood... he is involved in much shady stuff and has no qualms about getting people offed... just like Tom King, the writer of his autobiography. Geffen is worth $7.8 BILLION... he can grease and buy almost anyone... Kurt WAS WORTH MORE DEAD, THAN LEAVING NIRVANA AND BEING ALIVE. His suicide propelled him into legendary status and the number of records sold was unbelievable.

To reach that level of stardom, there are a lot of things that are compromised, your humanity for one. Kurt loved playing music and having the creative control he had, managers and the record label had to basically yield almost always with him... but he was ambitious and proud, this image the media sold about this depressed Kurt wallowing on his problems is bullshit... King Buzzo from the Melvins said it himself, remember Kurt was a roadie for the Melvins and the drummer for the band was the drummer for Nirvana on the early days.
