Reminds me of something I read earlier. It was the opposite of PTSD. Instead of Post Traumatic Stress, it was about Post Traumatic Growth.

Not saying you were at a PTS type stage, but just the similar idea of what doesn't kill or break you makes you stronger.

The last book I read is the Green King, but I doubt you will like it. Perhaps "You Can't Lie to Me: The Revolutionary Program to Supercharge Your Inner Lie Detector and Get to the Truth" will be interesting to you? Here is the official description of this book. I prefer to read books on psychology, especially I like behavioral and profiling. But I also like fiction.
