Not sure how drinker is getting around but the cost to drive down there very expensive. Also if you’re considering the move just bring your clothes. There’s a tax on anything of value you bring into the country. Getting citizenship takes 6-7 years so plan on heading to a border country every 90 days. Healthcare is ok for minor issues but any major problems plan on going back to the states to treat. Friend of mines wife was misdiagnosed and almost died of pneumonia. For the most part people very friendly. There are worse places you can “retire” to.
