The Democrat-controlled House followed the Senate this week in passing legislation forbidding the president from withdrawing from NATO and affirming undying US support for the outdated Cold War alliance.




Is NATO really about defense? Or is it a jobs program for the military industrial complex?

House bill is irrelevant

President can unilaterally withdraw from any military alliance he wishes

Congress only controls money. Bill says they won't pay for gas to withdraw. Big deal, if USA withdraws from NATO the Russians and Iranians would gladly give each troop a 1st class ticket home.
