If eating out, 20%. I pretty much never order delivery. My thought process is why pay double when you can drive for 10 mins and get it yourself.

Why get up and drive ? If someone can come 2 your door? This days you can get anything delivered with Uber/eats Postmates- any restaurant you want - even alcohol-dry cleaning/cigarettes- the list goes on -

2019- you can basically do anything on your iPhone/android/galaxy - (Bay Area) gamble/food/hookers/alcohol - guys need 2 accept technology - it’s crazy how easy it is now - with all this apps and service

Okay so I picked up pizza from local ma & pa place in town tonight. 4.5 miles drive. $3.50 delivery fee, $5 tip = $8.50 cost.

4.5 miles x 2 = 9 miles. 2016 honda civic conservatively 25 mpg in town, 9/25 x $2.50/gallon = $0.90 gas. Depreciation per mile = $0.12. 9 x 0.12 = $1.08. $1.08 + $0.90 = $1.98 cost incurred

$1.98 myself < $8.50 someone else

I never drive after drinking, a friend of mine died that way. You can have your differing opinion but don't try bashing mine. I work in finance so everything is ROI to me. I see convenience as a waste of money. I instead splurge on traveling. Visited 7 countries last year for vacation.

To add, when I go out when out with friends I'm often the designated driver. Why? I can dance and have a good time sober. My friends pay my cover and I drive them home. No uber/lyft costs nor expensive tabs. I don't need alcohol to have a good time.
