Been fired from every job I've ever had. Never had to walk off. I think at a few of those companies, the official name on my file is Veggie Insubordinate Dog.

one of my first jobs was a lifeguard at a local country club. The boss was a huge stickler POS and very stuck up. Lifeguards weren't allowed to go in the pool really and one hot day i was super hungover sitting in my chair and got somehow got into a verbal altercation with said A sshole boss and said FU and cannonballed into the pool off my high chair. I was fired on the spot but was a legend for a little while amongst my fellow employees.

as a contractor and service provider in various realms.

I do it monthly and at stretches it seems weekly and daily in some of my businesses.

It used to be a bit of a rush to be able to refuse services and products to people that "do too much" and seemed extra bitchy or touchy.

But its honestly very tiring the last few years, how its the exception when someone is reasonable and not an entitled brat.

Bank teller when I was 22... assistant manager got promoted early because manager had to go on medical leave and this bitch went on the most bizarre power trip I've ever seen. She got people fired and I was the last one standing and boy was it rough. Until I asked for a day off 6 weeks in advance to take my GMAT exam for my MBA and she said no and then started bragging along with some brown noser about the days they were scheduling themselves off for.

I finished the day, kept quiet, did my job great as always and on my way out I threw my keys to the bank and alarm on the table and didn't say another word. I walked out and never walked in again.

Way back washing dishes, I worked Wed.-Sun. closing. I wanted a Sat. night off and couldn't get it; one Sat. I let the dishes pile up then told the boss "Thanks for the Sat. night off, 'preciate it." and left.

Yep. Drunk as balls, and was asked to do some more bullshit. Wasn’t having it that day. Eight years ago. Haven’t done real work since.

Done it a few times, always after telling the boss how I really feel (being professional about it). The look on their faces when they realize they're losing you is priceless.

I got fired intentionally a couple times, so I could collect unemployment.
Quitting will ruin your benefits. Call in sick until you're fired instead.

First job worked at grocery store. Went through all the cashier training and killed it. They put me on carts every damn day, because none of the girls would do it and I had to do it because I was the guy. Didn't feel like working for a sexist company anymore and it was raining and freezing cold out, so I called my buddy to pick me up. Threw my apron against front of store and drove off.
