Only setback is, they're in original language with English subtitles....

I can watch them without reading the subtitles!

Yes they will grip your soul!!

You won't find a fake ass love story in these movies...

Not for the Faint Of Heart............

    Sobibor (2018)

    Storyline

"Sobibor" is based on the history of the Sobibór extermination camp uprising during WWII and Soviet officer Alexander Pechersky. When he was a POW in Sobibor, he managed to do the impossible - to organize a revolt and mass escape of the prisoners.

Many of the escapees were later caught and died - the rest led by Pechersky managed to join the partisans. Script based on the book by Ilya Vasiliev: "Alexander Pechersky: Breakthrough to Immortality"

Here's the best Stalingrad movie ever made.............

          Stalingrad (2013)

          R | 2h 11min | Action, Drama, War | 10 October 2013

Stalingrad has become hell and paradise for those who were worthy of awards, but the only reward they managed to get was love. How they won, and how they were not defeated, who they were and who was on the other side of the street, what secret they have taken away with them - the movie will tell this story.

Haven't seen these, but I'm with you on foreign WW2 movies. If you haven't seen it, definitely check out Das Boot. The Pianist is also fantastic.

agree 100%, not to say Hollywood doesn't produce great movies, but generally, I agree foreign movies of any type are usually better. One aspect I noticed, most American movies, not all but most seem to end happily. Things seem to work out for all. Not in many foreign movies, they give you the bare truth, the good, bad and ugly. you are often left stunned thinking wow is this how this movie really ended.
