whether or not this is true, picks should be made by ALL parties before Thursday (not before start of the game), and made public when that closes...just like a draftkings scandal earlier

picks need to be tracked in a sports software to catch anomalies such as tailing and fading picks that arent well known

Have you ever played the Super Contest ? No....there is actual money involved. Many times with multiple players owning teams. They discuss picks etc..End of the day you have to pick winners. Bitching and complaining about a FREE contest is sad. Go back and monitor all the contests here.....I'm sure you'd have similar findings.

i’ve played the Supercontest for the past 3 years. You’ve made an apples to oranges comparison.

* Each entry for the SuperContest is required to submit an I’d for the player(s).
BTP= No I’d required

* No 10 week freeroll in SuperContest
10 week free roll in BTP

* SC has $120 administration fee taken out of the $1500 entry.
SBR= Including nothing else for the $100 pro membership, BTP alone has a
huge overlay.

* SC most entrants hire a proxy $200-350.
BTP= No proxy necessary.

* SC most entrants are from outside the state of Nevada and incur hundreds
of dollars in travel cost.
BTP= No travel cost.

* SC Federal taxes automatically deducted from winnings.
BTP= No taxes deducted.

* Maximum 30 possible selections a week to choose from, and often less due to
byes.
BTP= Hundreds of possible selections per week.

* SC for Sunday game selections must be submitted by early Saturday.
BTP= Selections may be submitted up until game time, one pick at a time.

The SuperContest has barriers in place that make angle shooting -EV. With those
safeguards in place, I couldn’t give 2 fcks how much the other contestants talked
or took the same picks, etc.

In BTP, angle shooting is a huge +EV for those inclined to do so.


And lastly, just because a contest is monetarily free or at the very least +EV, people
still have justified expectations about how said contest is administered.

I really enjoy BTP and hope they are able to put together a plan that reduces the chances of successfully angle shooting.
