Judging by your response, you agree with me. It's not like Def Leppard started out all "Hardcore" and then went soft - - they were soft to begin with, that's my point - hence not sell-outs (The Bon Jovi Rule). I'm not saying that's a bad thing, they're sticking to their roots. Also, agreed, "Let It Go" is a pretty rockin' song - shockingly reminds me of "Long Way Down" by The Goo Goo Dolls, in cadence and progression, 3 syllable hook, 3 power chords, etc. In case you haven't heard it:
I'm referring to someone who you idolized (probably as a youth) and then at some point they did a 180 on you and sold out. For me, personally, it was Metallica and Van Halen - but everyone has an opinion.....
Keep posting those rock videos (here & in the Politics forum) - I love it!
I see the problem
You have never listened to Def Leppards first 2 albums except for the ballad
That is the only explanation possibleComment -

I love the Beatles, even Wings, but, it's becoming sad and hard to watch - - It's like Larry Holmes begrudgingly fighting his idol Ali - - and begging the ref to stop the fight and crying afterwards because Ali could barely stand up.....Comment -

Yeah I know what the thread is about. That's why I said Nugent sold out with Wango Tango.
We all sell out sooner or later.Comment -

It is obvious you have never really listened to either album
Then again, you thought Metallica was good at one point, so...Comment -

#2. - I named 3 songs, and didn't even include like "Lady Strange" or "No, No, No" which were - - ehhhh….. Let's say "Stryper-esque"
#3. - I bet this is the most Def Friggin' Leppard has been talked about in a forum since the internet was invented
#4. - Metallica ROCKED until they fired Dave Mustaine & Cliff Burton died and they were up for a "Grammy" and looked all G@Y thinking they were going to win - - and lost to Jethro Tull - - that was the nail in the rock coffin for me.....
#5. - Hate away, it's a free country.Comment -

So now you have compared the first 2 albums to the Goo Goo Dolls and Stryper despite the fact they came out several years before either of those bands 1st album even came out
Lol
I have no idea what you are talking about and neither do you
I get it, Metallica thrashed so they are "metal"

#61this is so true.... no new rock in years.... i remember when the htown alt rock station added this horse shit to its playlist, as "something new"....
not rock, not alt, not alt rock.... just solid horse shit:
not sure what genre it fits into..... probably "gay ass shit"
true alternative doesn't ride big wheels.... true alternative launches bass guitars twenty feet in the air and headers it into the net on the way down.........

#63Grand Funk Railroad. They were a really great rock band, then for some reason they did a cover of "The Loco-Motion". For penetrate's sakes.Comment -

#65Yes,even Metallica was guilty of the 4th song power ballad.........
except for the kill em all album as the 4th song is
Jump In The Fire...........Lol
Also I Always wondered why "Am I Evil" disappeared from the album....
Song is killer hardcore and belongs on the album as it is naked
without it.......
