It would be a very happy ending to know the man who used to walk into his offices, close all the blinds and tell the staff "I will take away the f(#*%@% sun" did end up walking off into the sunset.
if that’s true it’s hilarious, guy was a bad ass bro your point?

Investigators: Wife Set Up Hit
The body of William Sean “Tony” Creighton may have been found Friday morning in Guápiles, buried in a banana farm. Authorities are running tests to see if the body is that of the 5Dimes owner. Creighton’s Porche was run off the road after Creighton left work at 10 p.m. on September 24 to drop off a co-worker. Two men on motorcycles and two men in a BMW SUV forced Creighton’s sports car off the road, forced him out of his car and into the BMW. After Creighton’s laptop and mobile phone were located, investigators determined Creighton’s wife, a Costa Rican native, is behind the plot to kidnap and kill him. Creighton’s wife reportedly transferred $750,000 to members of her own family in a ruse designed to look like a kidnapping-for ransom plot. Former FBI agents hired by Creighton’s family in Virginia are working with Costa Rican authorities to get to the bottom of the case. The American investigators are encountering problems working with the Costa Rican police, including a disagreement on how the Americans brought their weapons into the small Central American nation.
We have an update. According to our confidential sources, the Costa Rican authorities were considering enforcing an extradition order from the US Justice Department. Authorities from the US were seeking Creighton’s extradition on money laundering charges. There is evidence now to suggest Creighton, who was well known to be well-connected in the Costa Rican government, was tipped off and fled to Cuba. Our sources have confirmed the nearly one-million-dollar “ransom” paid by his wife was cashed and converted near Havana, Cuba. Considering Creighton’s “kidnapping” supposedly occurred over a month ago before the news broke, the entire story seems far-fetched. At this point, a kidnapping/murder plot is becoming less and less believable.
In any event, we hope Tony is safe.
So Tony's wife set him up if the information above is accurate.. That makes perfect sense to me... Often in homicides it's usually the spouse or husband behind the murders..

If I understand correctly, Tony's family in Virginia hired FBI, not the spouse from CR.

Hilarious if you believe that his wife set him up for a million dollars...she would have got more had she just asked for a divorce....

You can't just go out and "hire" the FBI.
There are former agents who can be hired but have no direct affiliation with the "FBI"...

He shouldve set up his company in Panama City. That place is much safer than CR.
Every time I got to Tocumen I regularly see Ferrari's and Porsches around town.
But CR is a much poorer country. Showing off your money like that is bound to attract criminals.
Of course I'm not saying he deserved die at all, so please dont misinterpret my comments

It's not hard to find Private Investigators that were former FBI agents.

I don't know what to believe? I'm just reading the info and news on what is being posted up.
I'll I'm saying is when a murder investigation starts the #1 person of interest always is the spouse or husband of the victim until they are ruled out.. Detective work 101!!.
You don't know if there was divorce talk in the making and she stood to get nothing because of a pre-nump.. Motives... Life insurance policies, etc.. Just saying....

Very confusing stories. Is it confirmed they found his body?
If not, it sounds like he fled before the US Feds got a hold of him and most likely aided and abetted by his wife.

Yeah story doesn't add up. Until a body is shown confirming his death it seems likely to be a hoax.

If that is indeed what happened what was the point of this whole story? Tony can't be be thinking that he can outsmart the Feds with this scheme in pretending that he was killed. Why not just pack your bags and get the hell out of there if he was tipped off?

Exactly.
Every time something like this happens there are a ton of conspiracy theories.
It’s usually the most simple and logical scenario that turns out true.
For example, Tupac didn’t fake his death and move to Cuba. He jumped an LA Crip at the MGM Grand and then the Crip turned around and shot him a few hours later.....

What if those FBI agents that were "hired" were actually FBI agents going after him? The FBI can't seize .eu domain names correct?

If he can fake his death, they no longer will pursue him and he can live his life out on a nice beach without looking over his shoulders. But i'm sure the Feds would want to verify and clearly identify the body.
Tony most likely has a lot of runners in town. He might have got tipped off and got the hell out of dodge. I'm just throwing shit out there but something is fishy.

They need to positively identify the body 1st before they can come up with some answers. The body could be someone else who looks similar...

what is logical about someone killing a person that they are holding for ransom and disposing of the body? and what is logical about someone supposedly sending bitcoin (that didn't show up on the blockchain by the way) without getting proof of life or a 3rd party to hold it?
kidnappers would be more likely to carry around the body like "weekend at bernies" so they could keep getting more ransom
