agree about the political landscape now, my question is, have we become so tribal, that working with the other party is not allowed, I remember when we were talking about infrastructure as the main thing are country needed, both parties were on board for that, but the Republicans went the way of tax cuts and to abolish the affordable care act ( 2 things the Dems hated), we have not heard word one from either party since on infrastructure. I'm wondering if it will ever be possible to repair the damage that has been done, if the Dems take the house they will go after Trump, will it be another 2 years of partisan politics. The american people have been suffering through this for to long, something has to change or we are done.

I don’t know where we’ll go from here. I believe history has shown us Presidents that were great leaders unite the country. In recent memory, kinda like Clinton was able to do, or how everyone rallied around Bush after 9/11. After Regan hot shot he had great support, FDR, etc....

I think Obama was great voice for minorities in America and he had their support 100%. Unfortunately he was never able to unite the country and we ended up fractured.

Now we have the antithesis to Obama in office, the great white hope. And he has been maybe less effective than Obama at uniting Americans. And for some eason his supporters love it, they dont want unity they simply want liberals to feel what they felt for 8 years. They encourage extremism from Trump not because its good foe America but admittedly because it pisses liberals off.

I hope we’ll make it past this rut we’ve been stuck in for awhile. Quit letting the far left and far right dictate the agendas and actions of the parties. Find moderate dems, moderate republicans, or a third party candidate to lead our country.

WASHINGTON — The upscale Italian restaurant Fiola will hire security guards after protesters confronted Sen. Ted Cruz and his wife while dining at the restaurant last week.

“We are now living in the aftermath of this PR disaster," the owner said in an email to customers.

In the email sent last weekend, owner and chef Fabio Trabocchi said the restaurant had to temporarily take down social media accounts because of hateful comments, and reservation lines were inundated with callers taunting staff and threatening to destroy the restaurant. The email said Trabocchi and his wife, Maria Font Trabocchi, have personally received death threats.

“We would have never thought such a thing was possible in the restaurant business,” the email said.

In addition to extra security, staff will be retrained to avoid similar instances and encouraged customers to keep coming to Fiola’s because it “will emerge from this challenge quickly.”

There hasn't been anything near resembling "far right" in this country for YEARS, that's why government size has grown. "Compromise" has just meant ceding ground so the likes of Obama can continue to change America towards everything supporting DISUNITY, shall I count the ways?
