People who shake your hand, especially people you know, that do not look you in the eye as they shake your hand, consistently, should be called out for their disrespect. Nobody has anymore respect these days. Thats like spitting in your face

There was a story not long ago from Sweden, where a woman wouldn't shake the hand of her male interviewer. Apparently there are religious beliefs that don't allow women to shake the hand of a man.

If I go into a store or car dealership and the salesman (who I don't know) sticks out his hand, I look at their hand and then just ignore it. My father was a beta and never taught me this. I learned it in college and don't think twice about it. Strong, but not too strong, straight in the eyes, nice to meet you "xyz" whoever. It's very simple.

Yup, I was a 13 year old boy and i was visiting in the South, Mississippi and I bitch shook an older farmers hand in a family setting.. I didn't know as I was never taught to shake hands firmly, I didn't know.....This old farmer took me aside and said son don't ever shake a mans hand softly like that again, I was shocked and taken back..

He said son I want you to shake my hand again firmly and look me in the eyes and don't be afraid EVER to do this.. He made me do it 3 times in a row. Then he told me don't shake a woman's hands like this, only men... IT SUNK IN and made sense at that moment... I learned right then at age 13..

I'LL NEVER FORGET THAT even as a grown man today... I appreciated that farmer for what he did to this day...

That's really weird. I'm country and have a ranch and none of us give a fuk how we shake hands if it's firm or not. We just care if everyone helps out and are friendly and show hospitality.A good way to say hello is bringing bud light though or some jack.

How do you know you are older than me???Yeah we all have stuff that bugs us. I hate when people I'm playing ball with or sparring with say "my bad" it gets used way too much. I think saying sorry is way more meaningful and saying my bad doesn't really mean anything.
