Chicago is just a messed up inner city. The overall city is awesome.

The gangs have been running things for decades and with it being a huge dope distribution center everything just got 1000x crazier. The good people in the neighborhoods need a lifeline. The cops are just as bad as the gang bangers. They aren’t the answer. No politicians can fix this overnight either. Pointing fingers at a party is stupid. Families need to take care of their own. Then you take care of your neighborhoods. Big government and investors will pay attention once that happens. People don’t want to invest their money in bad neighborhoods. If you are picking up your 9 year old at the station for a possession charge you need to be held accountable too. Don’t bitch about the system when you can’t take care of your own. At least half a generation of Chicago kids have already been lost to drugs, prison, homelessness and/or death because parents aren’t taking care of their business. Education needs to be the first priority. Education provides opportunities outside the dope boy bullshit life. What Lebron is trying to do in Akron is what our country needs more of.


The drug money these kids are killing each other over are just feeding our entire country’s demand. Until we as a nation find a sensible approach to drug enforcement, treatment and alternatives this will only get worse.

Politicians and the Police can fix this.. Up the present of police force in the worst areas, inform the media have them roll in and report, begin massive raids, seek help from other outside law enforcement agencies.. Bring in the DEA, FBI, etc.

They did thise years back here in Compton and the LBC here in California when it was really bad and it worked for a time.. You need to drop the hammer on crime and build more jails and not just catch and release with short sentencing because jails are over crowded..

All of the law enforcement you mentioned are a huge part of the problem. LA and the rest of SoCal is worse than ever. LA cops are a gang. Chicago cops are a gang. They steal, assault and murder. The good cops allow it and keep quiet because of the “blue wall” but they expect people they arrest to talk. Politicians allow the drugs and guns to be readily available. Why is our military still guarding the poppy fields in Afghanistan?
