Moving from where? I was born in Dallas and loved it. No state tax and affordable housing are two economical reasons to move. Many corporations are moving here as well.

Nah Dallas isn't humid. Austin isn't bad either. Houston is very humid. I'd say anything under 95 is comfortable if you're in the shade with a beer.

You and Piler would be correct. We have really good bbq up here but it’s backyard bbq, and everytine Ive been to a bbq here, people think the sauce is weird

I can't really speak to KC, but I've spent some time in Texas and the Carolinas. I know both have their BBQ reputations, but your average Texan is more passionate about BBQ than Carolinian. Meaning, if you ask a Texan about BBQ - you're gonna get the answer you're looking for w/ no shortage of insight to backup that opinion. Ask a South Carolinian about BBQ, they'll respond as matter-of-factly like you asked them directions to Wal-Mart. And I'm talking upland Greenville, SC ... great tradition, no passion!
