Airplane geek’s ultimate retirement home: Former engineer spent $220,000 on a Boeing 727 so he could park it in Oregon woodland and turn it into his dream bachelor pad - and he doesn't mind that it's a little rough around the edges

• In 2003, Bruce Campbell purchased a decommissioned Boeing 727-400 for a whopping $220,000
• The retired engineer had the plane transported from Greece to outside of Portland where it sits on 10 acres
• Campbell, who has never been married and has no kids, sleeps on a futon and offers tours of the aircraft
