I stayed at friend's house in a private residential, went with my then gf... by day 3 we couldnt even be in the same room and so I slept at a motel/hotel last 2 nights... when I was with them I only traveled by car (we actually took the bus once, after visiting the Chapultepec castle but we parked too far and the rainstorm was unbelievable so took bus), we went out drinking to the hot rock/new wave spots... went to a rock show... felt pretty safe all the time, I even managed to buy coke twice during those 2 days from complete strangers, 1 cab driver and 1 dude outside a Mezcal bar (top notch quality and cheap).

The motel was kinda weird, IDK felt some narco vibes but maybe it was me being to fukked up on cocaine to see things normal... spent day 4 and 5 holed in there (weekend) betting/watching soccer and NFL lol... and at night I used to phonebooks full of escorts pics to have some fun. It was a good trip.

Beach areas in Mexico where the tourists go are nice.. Scuba diving is cool in some of the beach areas... Like in Cancun and Mazatlan and what not.. Even Cabo can be fun if you're young and want to party it up...
