i missed 1 appointment and she said that she has the power to take away my medications in an instant. that would leave me in a mega-depressed insomniatic state for weeks

i always feared what if i got arrested or whatever and i couldnt get my medications. well she laid it flat out for me. so im getting off them slowly for the next 4-6 months

she hammered the point home too and was not too kind about it. funny cause my med provider at the same place missed 2 appointments in a row with me lol. leaving me scrambling for my refills.

all this could have been avoided if my senile father didnt threaten to cut me out of the will. leaving me basically pennyless. luckily i have years to get my sh1t together before then. and getting off these God-awful pills is step 1

Your therapist did the right thing, she set boundaries with you because you did not respect your relationship with her. You went to her for help and then missed an appointment, believe it or not but when dealing with depression, mental illness or chronic pain that is a big deal.

She did not threaten you, she let you know the consequences of your future actions and you got sensitive.

Sorry man but she deals with 100's of people a week just like you, she knows what she's doing
