They’re not real drinkers. Can’t handle their booze so they milk one or two of their IPAs, then take the other 4 home until a drunk relative comes over and drinks it. I’m usually that relative.

I don’t see the point in drinking if you don’t wanna catch a buzz. Can barely stomach 6 of those damn IPAs. Drinking is about what you can get down the easiest for maximum effect.

I’m already drinking once a week, but no worries. Just have my fun for one day and that’s it. Never two days in a row or it’s over. I just can’t do this full on sober crap. I’m able to control myself to one day because I know what’ll happen if I get bad. Don’t want that ever again.

I hear ya. I’ve never felt powerless except for needing booze to stop the withdrawals. Still, that was my own dumbass fault for letting it get that bad. I can still down my liter of vodka one day a week, wake up the next day and pass on drinking. Same with drugs. Hid that for years without anyone knowing, but once that all came out here I am being forced to stop. I never hurt anyone while doing em though. I think I control myself just fine. Screw powerlessness. Just an excuse to tell people.

Yeah you definitely get a worse hangover with the dirt cheap stuff. If I drink something a little higher in quality I barely feel it the next day. Definitely helps out to keep me down to weekly. If I don’t have a hangover then my urge to drink is low.

Yeah for sure. My one attempt at stealing got me caught, and in the predicament I’m in.

I wasn’t going around robbing people, getting in fights, ending up passed out on the street or anything that junkies do. Was functional and doing just fine in my mind. I’d be much easier to be around when I’m doing what I enjoy. Now I find myself having to stop being so miserable, and pissed off. I drank last week and that’s when I almost found a damn job on the first try. Background check fcked that up, but place was too fancy for me anyway.
