Anyone ever have the images in downloads & pictures show a microsoft image instead of the actual photo youve downloaded? How do i get it to show the photos again? I'm trying to list stuff for sale & this is frustrating.
Its a new HP computer.

I changed the settings to show thumbnails & not icons but they're still not showing. Instead a blank piece of white paper not a thumbnail is seen.

Make sure the pictures are set to open with photo viewer of some kind , check properties .. opens with

Are they pics direct off a camera?

Probably just don't have the particular file type set to a default viewer.


Double click one of the pics to open it and see if Windows asks how you want to view it.

Off camera and downloads. If I click on the icon the image displays fine. I have no idea what I'm clicking on. Never had this happen.

Restarted the system & it worked. In the vids I watched the change was simultaneous so I thought it was not working.
