I thought all of the first 9 episodes where pretty good.
I didnt like the final episode #10 what a rip off from the original movie.
I think it would of been better if they went a different way with the tournament and Kreese.
But I will watch the next season .

Johnny still trapped in the 80's was pretty funny. Some of the drama was way too predictable. I'm hoping season 2 they keep Johnny as that tweener between heel, and face. Unless Krease take's over Cobra Kai again?

After seeing the first two episodes of Cobra Kai some time back, I finally got around to binge watching the remaining eight and I gotta say this series far surpassed my expectations.

It's written in such a way that it really keeps you glued to your seat. I probably spent close to 4 hours watching the final eight episodes but they were so entertaining that time flew by. In fact I may re-watch the whole series again, it was that good.

I think the bigger a fan you are of the original movie(s) the more you will enjoy Cobra Kai as there is a lot of dialogue and/or plot-points planted throughout the series that recall the original KK, but even the casual fans will likely enjoy it.

For what it's worth, I've never seen more product placement in a film/TV show than I did with this series and Coors beer. They must have financed this whole reboot. Johnny was constantly cracking open a Coors Banquet beer. It kinda made me wanna score a sixer of that stuff myself.

The guy that played Mike Barnes has allegedly claimed that he has signed on for season 2, so we'll see how true that turns out to be. Could be a "Bad-Boy" Karate school in the future.

One thing I found pretty funny was when Johnny's Dodge Challenger was getting a Cobra Kai make-over, they installed a freaking a cassette deck into it.

***Spoiler Alert, Highlight to read -> One thing that none of my friends caught was the Cobra Kai member(Tommy) who coined the famous saying "get him a body bag!" Is the one who ended up getting a body bag.
