Porn star Olivia Lua has passed away at 23, the latest in a string of deaths to rock the adult entertainment industry.
LA Direct Models said they were ‘deeply shocked and saddened’ in a statement which suggested prescription drugs and alcohol could be to blame.

Her death makes her the fifth adult actress to pass away in three months following the deaths of Yuri Luv, 31, August Ames, 23, Olivia Nova, 20, and Shyla Stylez, 35.
The agency said: ‘Much comment has recently been made on the number of adult stars having passed in the last year and with great sadness, we must inform that the list has grown longer.
‘We learned today that Olivia Lua passed away this morning – may she rest in peace.’

Lua joined LA Direct Models in April last year but had been in rehab since early October as she battled an addiction – although she had been out for a month and hoped to return to work later this year
The statement added: ‘We learned today that she had returned to a different facility in West Hollywood after a relapse, approximately a week ago, at which she was found deceased this morning.

‘Family and close friends relate they had deep concern at the volume of prescription drugs prescribed to Olivia and the danger this posed her, if this was mixed with recreational drugs or alcohol.
‘It is believed this to be the cause of her passing.
‘We can barely believe we are issuing a notice such as this, not once but twice, in such a short space of time.’

The agency said they had not spoken to the coroner and had no information on a post-mortem or a toxicology report.
Lua’s death comes in the same month that Olivia Nova, another LA Direct Model, was found dead in Las Vegas.

Stylez died in her sleep in her mother’s home in British Colombia, Canada.
In December, Ames died by suicide after she was trolled on social media for refusing to film a sex scene with a man who had also shot gay porn.
Within a week of her death, adult actress Yuri Luv also died following an alleged drug overdose. She was only 31 years old.
