    Have u ever mentally re-scored a game?
Because the mental damage of grading it as a loss was too much to bear?

Oakland -14 for me tonite. Had em tied in on 3rd leg of parlays. Mentally, I'm chalking it up as a win. Oak won by 15 (in my mind).

Would mentally be too damaging to absorb it as a loss.

Sort of the opposite of an air-bet. A real bet, but grade the score w/ a pencil + eraser.

Like Andy says in "Shawshank Redemption":
    * "Don't u know? Everyone in here is a winner."

Always rechecking the box score next day
      Sometimes because of drunkenness
Sometimes because I can’t believe it
      Never recheck a win
      Always the losses

Have seen a late re-score. Yes, always W to L.

The classic was the old USC/Utah fb game.

Convincing your bookie to acknowledge the mental re-score can be challenging though.

took d. cousins prop points + boards over 37 as soon as davis was confirmed out tonight - didn't watch the game but followed the box score online some (google) which ended at 31 points 8 boards. When I go back an hour later it's 29 points 8 boards. Made me want to look up the play by play but then I realized what planet I was on and what a waste of time that would be either way.

With all the money in fantasy sports now though, and the nba, nfl, etc., all wanting a piece of the action, maybe I wouldn't doubt there's some dicking around though... at least no less than I would doubt some politician somewhere is skimming public funds. It's money after all. And we are dumb animals.

Classic re-score game that swings ATS:

                    * I'm holding UNC-Wilm (+5.5).

See a 68-65 Final, grade it as winner. 5minutes later, I see 68-68 (OT). Loses by 7 in OT. ATS Loser.

Shuter, how do u like this for a great gambling tale? This time...with a happy ending!

See my UNC-Wilm post above. 1st part is true:

                      * 1st score post I see is 65-65 Final, which gets me home under the #.

                      * Per usual...dog gets run out in Overtime. Score I see is 81-74, final.

I grade it as a loss and move on. 24 hours later...I'm checking scores. MFer, checked it twice. 81-77. They covered! Must have banged in a 3 at horn. Two re-scores, last one in my favor.

Found $$. Doesn't happen to often.

Game earlier this year, I had -4 that won by 6. Next day, I see that bucket went in at buzzer. Won by only 4 = Push.
