Insert a snip image

Can anybody help a "technology challenged" person?

I'm trying to insert a snip shot into a forum post.

The snip is a png file on my PC. I copied the pathway and entered it in the "insert image" icon, but it didn't work.

well you used to have a button on the task bar above where youtube is and so forth
that you could post images str8 from computer
they took that away though
surprised it didnt work on the insert image button because its a png
id try to turn it into a jpg on tinypic.com then copy it and paste it using the insert image button
