Depends what is considered high, but Syracuse isn't the greatest. I don't keep up these days, but plenty of shootings, drugs, and robberies. Not as much on the side I live on.

Yeah, white people don't get shot here. Just get offered drugs, CDs, and DVDs.

I live in a very safe area, police respond within a minutes time, there are security patrols that cruise the alleys and streets daily and hourly that's paid for by the community home owners like myself..

Been here for years, but I was broken into in the middle of the night last year by a Mexican.. First time ever that happened and I almost ended his life....I had to install flood light sensors on the side of my house after that.. So far so good..

Santa Monica, California 90402 is where I'm at now..

I live in a town of 11k or so. I feel very safe and have never though about feeling unsafe. There is some crime but mostly drugs.

Two weeks ago my truck and a few other vehicles in the neighborhood got broken into at night. The 12 year old across the street went into vehicles. Neighbor had a unloaded gun in his unlocked car. Awesome!

Idiot kid got caught cause he took a credit card from a car, went to the local credit union a block away and tried to withdraw money. Camera on the ATM machine got him.

I live in a creekside cabin in the woods. My biggest threat would be like something from a scene out of Deliverance. Either that or getting taken out by a mountain lion, a tree falling on me, or getting zapped up by aliens. I love it out here.

before i got sick i worked in neighborhood that usa today said was most dangerous place to live in america. It is where the riots were in cincy. Freaking clinton tore up the projects and those fukkers moved by me. My house went from 200 thousand to 90,ooo in a year. I had 11 people killed within a 2 block area in 1 month. Got in argument 6 in morning some thug trying to kick my dog. Knocked the kid on his ass. He tried to draw his gun on me but his gf stopped him. I thought i was going to get killed in my front yard and no one would ever know unless she told on him.
fast forward to earlier this year. Neighbor 4 houses down killed someone trying to break in. Now we have a nice house in good subdivision. I walk in every day. Friend told my mom that our house would be worth million in california. This house would be 400,000 in ohio. What i'm saying shit happens and it only takes one democratic president (clinton in my case) to change your neighborhood.

Nice... I wouldn't mind being in a set up like that but in a vacation home.. I might get lonely and not find enough activities and things to do year round and go nuts... You can only chop so much wood and bird watch for so long ...

Haha, no bears where I'm at Chico. Only time I had to worry about bears was when I lived in Yellowstone one summer scooping ice cream for tourists back in the day. I remember walking to work through fields of bison and clapping my hands (hoping to scare away bears) once I got to wooded areas where they might be hanging out. There is a Bigfoot museum not too far from where I'm at now though so maybe that's something I should keep an eye out for haha. I don't know how places like that stay in biz.

I hear ya Jibs- I'm actually not that far from civilization- 25 minutes from the city/beach in Santa Cruz- 45 min from San Jose although I never go up there. I like my solitude though and I'm a bit anti-social so I only venture out when I have to. I got a wife and kid and we've got family closeby so it's a little different than if I were flying solo...although I'd probably still want to live in the woods even if I didn't have them in my life. I don't think I'll ever get tired of chopping wood and looking at birds . My dream is to have a lakefront property where I can row on the water everyday. One of these days... I just need to hit a 20 team parlay and I'm set.

had a friend that was an insurance man in philly. A customer of his died. He knew these kids since birth. He took 20,000 to cash the insurance check. These pucks stole his money after killing him. They rolled up his body in carpet and threw him in a dumpster. My old boss is a philly guy whose son is a d.i lawyer . That is a tough town

Rural as hell for me and very safe, mostly property crimes, car prowls from the tweakers. I live in a golf course community with a bunch of retired fvcks who have nothing better to do than patrol and be nosey, it keeps the riff raff down though.

So no mention the republican pres (Bush II) that caused the greatest mortgage meltdown crisis in the countries history and how much that changed your neighborhood? Hypocrite much.

I live in a good area but Compton, North Long Beach, Lennox, Watts and Inglewood are just a 10-15 minute drive away. On top of the crack head and/or tweaker homeless population quickly taking over LA/Orange County.

Canada will be much more of a country of immigrants two decades from now than it is today, Statistics Canada predicts.

One guy shot in the back of the head, but lived. Luckily these fools suck at shooting, and have garbage guns. Guaranteed that not one was legally obtained here.
