I go to a local car wash and they vacuum the interior and spray the exterior of the car, so any built up grease and grime is removed, before you get to the automated portion on even the basic wash (without the undercarriage spray, wheel cleaner, wax, super 3 coat wax or whatever it is that's different than the regular wax). The basic wash runs about $18 and the top of the menu hits about $25.

I charge between $150 and $250 for a full on detail(This includes the engine bay and trunk) depending on the size of the vehicle and how bad it is. I am doing a 2013 4 door Jeep Wrangler right now that hasn't been cleaned since they bought it 4 years ago. It looks like a fukking bomb went off in it.
