That is true about the 99 cent places. I went to one of those and it was 2 Indian guys making the pizza. Lol. It was so bad it was like dough with a little bit of cheese and straight tomato paste. It was the worst pizza ever. Don't ever buy pizza from Indians. Always try and look who is making it. But in general New York does have the best pizza.

Yep, Manhattan is trash for pizza now. Just full of spots with those dollar slices and deals, run by people who have no clue how to make pizza. I'd have no choice driving in there, or getting out at the Port Authority. Tried a bunch of places when I went down there monthly for a year and change. Not a good place to be found in the midtown area, that's for sure.

Definitely great spots in other areas when I was younger. Not sure what happened. Remember waiting in line to go to a supposedly top spot in Brooklyn, and it was terrible. But, was that style where they put jack shit on it and throw a few lumps of cheese here, and there.

We have a lot of great places up here that know how to do NY right, luckily.

Chicago doesn't even seem like pizza.
