Tomorrow night i got the officers # at location to call him up the day after. I hope the scum shows up i could not believe when i got the e-mail the person has no idea obviously . Even if the person says i got the ticket for him they already know it is not true.

Yea i do get them refunded but so what you are actually saying when there is a chance to actually catch one of these scumbags to just let it go? Someone may be using a ticket in my name tomorrow and if they do i know the time and place they are leaving from. So i should just "Let Be" and let them have a free ticket and let them do this to future people ? Are you serious? They may not show but if they do they will be nailed have a record and be exposed to hopefully not do this to anyone else.

I think scammers try to redeem for money whatever was stolen whether it shows tickets or what. Its happened to me before, two tickets to somewhere in Europe I forget where, gf at the time worked in card fraud she explained to me how they do it. If its a debit of a small amount more times than not its just a test to see if there is anything on it then the card may be sold.

I thought you said the cops were on it. I figured you wouldn't have to be there as you can't or shouldn't be directly involved in the apprehension. Why waste the time as it seems like it is far away. Plus like jtoler said, chances are it won't even be the perp who shows up if anyone. I hope they catch the ahole but it seems like it is out of your hands at this point.

They are and i do not have to be there you are right. But as the other person said how hilarious would it have been if i would be there taping Fake me trying to go and then having to face the real me . Or even just to watch someone get nailed,But yea it is way too far to go . They took a lot of info down from me though .

I will get my money back it takes about a week to get it. When i caught it the transaction was pending and i called the place up and they could not see anything because it was still pending. Then once it went through i got the e-mail saying "Your trip is almost here" With a confirmation # which the scumbg obviously did not know i got. The # has when he leaves and where. It also has my name on it.

' I thought of that actually already . I am hoping since they are aware if they try to refund the ticket maybe they can at least get a place they want the refund to go. But i am hoping someone actually tries to use the ticket. I have had this happen before just like you said for really low amounts this one though was more over $100

If its a real credit card crook which Id suspect then he isnt going to actually show up to the airport and he really isnt flying anywhere, he's already got the funds. Him showing up would be almost equivalent to a person robbing a bank and remembering he left the crowbar he used to jimmy the vault open and coming the next day during bank hours asking the tellers if they saw it, it aint happening. They are sophisticated, this happens to many people every day. Only way the person who actually hacked you is showing up is that he's someone actually taking a flight which means he'd have to have made up ID with your name, would have to be a dumb person who youd think would be sweating bullets every second he's at the airport. A person who does this often would would have long ago known the possiblities of the person stolen from having contacted cops on occasion and cops would be on the lookout for them at the airport. Like sportsbooks hide by using company names on our bank slips no doubt the thief can do such also. Its about the funds and nothing more. When this happened to me and I noticed it, I went straight to my bank and told them I simply didnt do it, they refunded me immediately. Happenend with a credit card many years ago too, bank slip showed few purchases from pet store adding up to about 90 bucks, I called credit card company and told them it wasnt me and they refunded immediately also.

Well unfortunate they did not catch anyone with my name on the ticket. It actually was not a plane ticket it was a Greyhound bus ticket. It could be the person panicked when he saw a cop there probably checking stuff. Apparently there is a college nearby and kids purchase tickets through stolen CC numbers they buy . they normally do it during holidays because they do not have their own money to get home so the steal someone elses. At least it was worth a shot and if i he did get scared away maybe he is worried someone is onto him. They will check the return bus too but i doubt if he was on this one he will get on that one.

So my card was hacked again today the new one i got after the greyhound incident. This time it was Asurion which is that phone insurance thing . It was for $200 so i found out a phone was shipped to an address but they could not give me any more info because they were not allowed. So they used my card to have a phone shipped somewhere so they will investigate . They do have an address and phone number that is not mine . So i guess if someone accepts the phone they are part of it . But i will never know if they are caught they will not tell me. Could this be a book doing this? I have deposited with this card at Justbet and DSI are'nt they part of 5d who was accused of stealing info lately?
